Meet Lynette Garber

Lynette Garber

(she/her)

Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Lynette knows that starting therapy can sometimes feel daunting. She is here to help you ease into the process of healing and reaching your full potential. Through her experiences in graduate school and in her post-grad Marriage and Family Therapy program, Lynette has worked extensively with families, teens, and young adults, and she is trained in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and CAMS suicide prevention. She is passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and continuously working towards an anti-oppressive practice. She has developed skills across several modalities that help to provide holistic and integrative care, allowing therapy to cultivate and rediscover strengths and areas of growth, and create goals that align with your needs and values. Lynette then likes to explore and integrate those strengths and experiences to support your here and now.

Lynette’s practice is trauma-informed and shaped by your unique experiences. She utilizes themes of part-work, narratives, CBT, attachment, and mindfulness to promote change and insight. She takes a strength based and emotion-focused approach while also exploring the barriers to your success, your growth, and any negative beliefs about yourself that may be holding you back from truly thriving. She is excited to get to know you and help you achieve your goals!

Education: Master of Social Work, Metropolitan State University of Denver (LSW expected 2023); working toward certificate in marriage and family therapy, Denver Family Institute (expected 2023)
