Meet Adam Charny

Adam Charny

(he/him)

Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor

Adam believes in the power of understanding one’s unique emotional landscape. Through his lens, each client is like a grand painting with many curious layers and themes that have developed throughout their life. Adam uses a systems-based approach to better understand how each client connects to the world; internally, interpersonally, culturally, and collectively.

As an empathetic, queer-identifying individual, Adam struggled with a lot of shame from feeling “too much” and not fitting in with the majority, which had a lasting impact on his self-worth, causing him to question his place in this world. Through his passion for mental health, Adam strives to help clients heal from past trauma, become more empowered, and embrace their unique perspectives. He focuses on creating a safe space for all emotions to allow his clients a place to process freely.

Adam specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ adults, neurodivergence, sexual intimacy issues, relational dynamics, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, internalized shame, grief, loss, anxiety, and depression. Using a holistic approach, he helps each client build on their internal tool kit to better understand their emotions and how to safely relate with the world around them.

Education: Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Regis University, Licensed Professional Counselor ( LPC)
